Before applying
Review the specific property’s stated monthly rent, deposit, application fees, pet policy, occupancy requirements, screening criteria, move-in costs and application deadline. A rental advertisement alone doesn’t guarantee availability. Don’t pay an application fee before confirming you are using an approved application link.
A few questions worth asking
Which utilities and yard-care responsibilities belong to the resident? How is rent submitted? What is the maintenance reporting process? Are there parking, HOA or access rules? What happens at renewal or move-out? Read the lease and ask for clarification before signing.
