H. FUHRMAN REAL ESTATE / AGENT OPPORTUNITIES
Build a career you can stand behind.
A brokerage should help you serve people well, understand your obligations and build lasting relationships. Learn what matters before deciding whether our growing, locally owned North Carolina firm is the right place for you.
LIFE / LIFESTYLE INVESTMENTS FOR EVERYONE
NOT A RECRUITING SCRIPT
Your name is on the work you do.
H. Fuhrman Real Estate is an independent North Carolina brokerage established in 2024 and led by its Broker-in-Charge, Heather Fuhrman. We’re building a team deliberately, around careful real estate practice, local knowledge and treating clients like people—not transactions. That means clear files, reliable communication and being willing to ask hard questions before problems grow.
How we approach a client.
THE STANDARD / EVERY TRANSACTION
Understand the real objective
A buyer’s commute, a seller’s timeline or a military family’s orders matter as much as the property features. Establish who you represent and explain agency before confidential conversations.
Make the risks understandable
Walk through comparable sales, financing, due diligence, earnest money, inspection timelines, disclosures and what a signed agreement actually requires. Document decisions and deadlines.
Service is measured in details
Provide timely updates, protect privacy, escalate inspection or title questions to the appropriate experts and follow open items through closing—or through an agreed management process.
FREE AGENT DECISION GUIDE
10 questions to ask any brokerage.
- Supervision: How available is the Broker-in-Charge when a contract, disclosure or client situation becomes complicated?
- Learning: What actual training, transaction review and mentorship can I expect for my current experience level?
- Compensation: What are the written split, cap, transaction charges, desk fees and other costs? What changes as production grows?
- Leads: Are leads provided? Are they guaranteed, purchased, shared or self-generated? Who owns client relationships and follow-up records?
- Marketing: Who pays for photography, signs, ads, CRM, websites, open houses and print materials? Who owns the content I create?
- Systems: Where do contracts, deadlines, client messages, compliance documents and transaction records live?
- Coverage: What happens if I’m on leave, deployed with family, sick, or unable to attend a showing or inspection?
- Risk: What errors-and-omissions coverage, supervision and reporting procedures apply? What are the broker’s obligations?
- Values: Can I give honest advice even when that advice means a client should not move forward?
- Exit terms: How are pending transactions, client communication, fees and advertising handled if I leave?
Do the math: Compare your projected gross commissions minus brokerage fees, MLS and association costs, insurance, advertising, taxes and operating expenses. A higher split is not necessarily a better business model if costs or support differ.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT US
A growing firm. Real expectations.
We’re a smaller, locally owned brokerage, not a national lead factory. Our focus includes local residential sales, military relocation, property management and consumer education. Heather leads brokerage decisions; operations coordination supports follow-through. We are actively building systems and capacity. We won’t promise ready-made leads, guaranteed income, a particular technology feature or a specific compensation arrangement without verifying and putting the terms in writing.
We value: an active or appropriately eligible North Carolina real estate license, ethical judgment, willingness to follow agency and recordkeeping requirements, prompt client communication, respect for fair housing obligations, collaboration, and a readiness to keep learning. Both established agents and newer agents are welcome to start a conversation about suitability and supervision.
What to bring: your current license status, areas you serve, type of business you want to build, a few examples of how you solve client problems and the 10 questions above. Do not send confidential client records.
Transparency starts before the affiliation.
Brokerage affiliation, independent-contractor or employment status, supervision, compensation, expenses and any training or support are explained during a personal discussion and documented in applicable written agreements. We do not promise earnings or referrals. The North Carolina Real Estate Commission provides agency guidance that is part of doing the work correctly.
Information is educational and exploratory. Contact does not create an employment or independent-contractor relationship. Any affiliation is subject to appropriate licensing, review and signed agreements.
